Circumcision

 

Circumcision is the act of cutting or eliminating some or all of the front cover penile skin or preputium. Circumcision aims to clean from any debris that may cause illness attached to the tip of the penis that still exist preputiumnya.

Circumcision has been performed since prehistoric times. Circumcision is also required in religion, such as Islam and Judaism. Even in the beginning of the priests Kristen required circumcision.

Medically it is said that circumcision is beneficial for health. Many studies later prove (evidence-based medicine) that circumcision can reduce the risk of penile cancer, urinary tract infection, and prevent transmission of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV / AIDS and also prevent transmission of human papilloma virus. In addition, circumcision also can prevent genitalia diseases such as phimosis, paraphimosis, candidiasis, malignant tumors and praganas the male genital area. Phimosis is a disruption or abnormalities in the foreskin, which can not be drawn towards the back to remove the shaft of the penis. Then candidiasis is a kind of infectious disease of the skin caused by the fungus Candida species. Male circumcision is more hygienic that, in old age is more easily take care of that part and the sexuality is more profitable (more clean, not easy bruising / irritation, avoid premature ejaculation)

Circumcision can be done by traditional and medical. According to Dr. P. Partini Trihono, Sp.AK, Division of Nephrology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of medicine / Cipto Mangunkusumo, Jakarta, in the medical world, there are several steps undertaken during the circumcision:
